You, whistle for him

Okay, I normally avoid such things, but this was a little too fun to pass up. At the bottom of this post, you'll see some links. The first is for a random Wikipedia entry--the first article title on that page is the name of your band. The second link will take you to a page of random quotations--the last four words of the final quote on that page will give you your album title. The third link is to a page of random Flickr pictures--the third picture on that page provides your album art. Got it? Good. Here's what I ended up with:

My album.

My band name comes from India's only legal casino, and my album title is from a Thoreau quote about a dog or something. The picture, I think, is of a beach in France, but who knows. Even if you don't feel like hassling with the process of putting it all together with a photo editor (I used the wonderfully simple ImageWell), try the first two links and see what you get for a band name and album title.

Meet the latest greatest indie band, 1935 European Championship with its new album "Is a Second Self." Album cover is a picture of a house.

I like the album title and photo, but the band name is a bit...er, awkward.

That's fantastic!

Michigan Island
"Sometimes you feel other people's pain"
Picture was a work table with long threads of yarn

My band rocks!
Name: Disambiguation
Album title: "She had learned the self-deprecating ways of the woman..." (I chopped off the rest of the quote, it was a bit long)
Cover Art: Alien sneaking up on a little girl in a tunnel.

And so it spreads... from the album cover and the name I am guessing that your band is some sort of Euro-synth-club-pop?

"Fly Around in Circles" by Ciprian Porumbescu. Album art is an overexposed closeup of what looks to be the lead singer of Evanescence.

These are awesome--keep 'em coming! Cully, I designed my cover thinking that my band was sort of an ambient/minimal-techno/synthpop duo. Lots of clicks and whistles. Definitely Scandinavian.

IT WON'T BE THERE, the new album from RINSPEED MONO EGO.

(A Irving Berling quote, and some kind of car.)

Album cover is: http://www.ghostinthemachine.net/rinspeed.jpg

And, yeah, we sold out. So what?

Band name: Khe Sanh
Album title: Problem is the Problem
My album art is an aerial photo of a pretty blonde in a red bathing suit.

Oops, sry about the double post. :(

Mauléon-Barousse's album "Born, is busy dying" drops on the 8th. Album cover is of a terrorist looking guy coming up over a hill.

Upland Outlaws, "As the Cruelest Words". Album at: http://www.ggwoo.com/UplandOutlawsAlbumPic.jpg

Ityopp'is takes hip hop to a whole new level by incorporating sounds from traditional Ethiopian and North African music. Their new album is "Love is or it ain't," and their album cover art features a chocolate lab running across sand.

"More Crochety Than You Are" by Magnus IV of Sweden.

(Okay, so I cheated a little bit on the album title; the quotation is from Aaron McGruder.)

Formula LGB Swift will cross the pond to celebrate the release of their new album "Too Dark to Read" at Athens, GA's fabulous 40 Watt Club. Doors open at 8pm. T-shirts with the album cover art (close-up of a woman's bloody lip) will be given out FREE to the first 50 fans!

Band: Wasabi Mon Amour
Title: The Lower the Morals
Cover: A mouth with a zipper instead of teeth

Awesome!

My band is Funf Sterne Deluxe and our new release "Nothing Else Has That" drops on Tuesday.

(As it happens, Funf Sterne Deluxe is an ACTUAL band. Or was. German hip-hop! Hooray?)

I have the pleasure of presenting the fine new indie band "Transmission (Medicine)", whose first album "Them to Choose From" boasts a fine photo of a close-up of the chromework on an old rusted blue car.

Fun.

I would like to add that I am especially pleased with my band's able use of parentheses in our name.
